All-new events set to entertain visitors in 2024
Loads of family-friendly events including Fireworks Fiesta, Night Skiing and Boarding and Twilight Tuesdays
Falls Creek, Australia’s favourite family-friendly resort, has unveiled its line-up of events for the highly anticipated 2024 winter season. From beloved family-friendly favourites to some exciting new additions, there will be plenty happening on and off the snow for everyone to enjoy.
The Opening Weekend Festival, beginning Saturday 8 June, will start the season with a bang. The celebratory street party will host Connected Circus in the Village Bowl followed by a spectacular firework show on Saturday night.
New to 2024, Falls Creek will launch the eagerly awaited, Mike’s Men's Ski Program, joining the wildly successful Mim’s Women’s Program. Mountain visitors will also get the chance to join in, or spectate, an Australian-first, Burton Mystery Series. A banked slalom event for all abilities that features product giveaways, athlete demos, après hangouts and more.
Families will be delighted by an action-packed calendar of events, including the enchanting Twilight Tuesdays, where kids reign supreme in a street party extravaganza featuring toasted marshmallows, outdoor games, and a special appearance by Pete the Snow Dragon. And don’t miss the Firework Fiestas lighting up Thursday nights throughout July and August, offering a mesmerising spectacle under the starry skies, complemented by Night Skiing and Boarding every Wednesday and Saturday, starting 28 June.
Falls Creek isn't just about family fun; their 2024 line-up of events establishes them as a dominant force in the Terrain Park scene. For those craving adrenaline-fueled thrills, Falls Creek delivers with an array of exhilarating competitions throughout the season. From the heart-pounding Board Lounge Throwdown and Rails Under Lights to the action-packed Big Air Comp and Storm the Park Slopestyle.

Open to both skiers and snowboarders, the Slopestyle is judged on overall run impression.

Rudi Pendl Cup

Father’s Day Junior Mini Pipe Masters, Presented By Burton

This free event is for under 16 shredders and their rad parents who put in the hard yards ferrying them up and down the hill daily.

Summit Masters and Retro Weekend

Tradition and true roots return to The Summit with a solid two days of competition in both Giant Slalom on Saturday, followed by Bumps on Sunday.

Bandwagon Banked Slalom

|
The event for any skier or snowboarder that loves a bumpy ride. There will be berms, jumps, bumps and spills galore.

The Dreamer

|
The jam style format competition will pit local legends against each other with progression the aim of the game.

Pond Skim
