After a solid month of good snowmaking, our mountain is feeling the chill! Unfortunately, Mother Nature hasn’t been as kind and we’re not able to open for skiing or boarding just yet.
The resort will be open and we still have plenty of fun things going on this weekend to celebrate the start of the season!
We will have scenic chairlift rides on offer on Halley’s Comet all weekend (free for Epic Australia Pass holders) where you can ride the lift up to Cloud 9 to enjoy a meal and relish in the mountain views in the newly-renovated restaurant! You can also check out the range of goggles, gloves and snowsports essentials on offer at our new Falls Creek Sports store.
There is plenty more shopping in the village, and you can get your retail fix at Falls Creek Sports and The Board Lounge, with stores open in Slalom Plaza and Cloud 9 daily, and our Village Bowl store open on Saturday too. Plus, if you’re an Epic Australia Pass holder, receive 15% off retail!
Join in the fun with the Board Lounge Rail Jam from 11am Saturday in Slalom Plaza and show off your skills!
For families and kids, don’t miss the Village Bowl Street Party from 11am both Saturday and Sunday with a Connected Circus taking over for the afternoon and a special visit from Pete the Snowdragon.
For the dining and après scene, make the most of our Falls Creek favourites which are open from this weekend! To curb your appetite, browse venue opening hours below.
Stay warm and enjoy some well-deserved après at The Frying Pan on Saturday night before watching our fireworks show in Village Bowl at 6:30pm!
More snow in the forecast!
While Mother Nature may be a little late to join the party this winter, this isn’t unusual for early June. With chilly temperatures, more snowmaking opportunities and lots of fresh snow in the forecast next week, we will be open for skiing and boarding as soon as possible!
Keep an eye on our 14 Day Forecast, powered by Weatherzone, to see what’s coming on the radar. Our snowmaking team have been producing snow since mid-May and will continue to make snow at every opportunity.
Keep an eye on our website or download the app for the latest information, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to another great winter at Falls Creek!
If you haven’t locked in unlimited laps this season with an Epic Australia Pass, now’s the time! With one week remaining until Passes go off sale on 12 June, don’t wait. Grab your Pass for $1,299, giving you access to Falls Creek, Hotham and Perisher all season long, plus deep discounts on lessons, rentals, retail and more.
